CruzDate - Dating Blog

So I’m getting a haircut tomorrow, and as most of you may not know, it’s kind of a big deal.

I have been growing my hair out for a long time now and it’s finally reached the “Homeless guy” look that I was going for, but as most things in life, now that I have it I no longer want it.

Hopefully I don’t turn out like that guy.  Maybe I’ll post some pics of myself in the next few days with a before and after picture so you guys can be the judges of the new style.

Hey guys, ok, so here’s a shameless plug for a show… Ghost Tree is going to be playing a show this Saturday night (11/18/06) at the Coastline Brewery (downtown Santa Cruz by the Red Room), and there are going to be crazy amounts of people there.

Basically we are playing with another rock band and two hip hop bands.  Which bands you ask? I’m actually not sure! But chances are they are legit becasue somehow we earned the lame spot of going on first.   Show starts about 8:30pm, so you guys should all come out and support local Santa Cruz music.

Plus there are going to be crazy amounts of people there for you to try some of your nifty tricks and tips I gave for getting dates.  It’s going to be a good time… that much is for sure.

I got an email this morning from some guy at SCTV saying he wanted me to get the my CruzDate memberbase to join his TV Dating Show. I’m thinking about it, but then again, way back in the day when I wanted to get a commercial up on that network, they were very unresponsive, but now that they want something it’s a different story? I smell a trade comming up.

Be on the lookout for the second newspaper issue on CruzDate. The issue will come out next thrusday in the City on a Hill Press!

The article is not a full blown issue on CruzDate, but rather an issue on “hook-ups” on campus. Who else knows more about hookups than the one and only C.Whyte? That’s right, I’m interviewed and listed as a source.

Check it out if you have a second, it’s probably going to be pretty good.

So tomorrow night is Halloween and I still don’t have a costume or plans… epic. There’s a slight chance I’ll be over the hill at a party, but that requires a) Dressing up b) Driving over there c) Finding somewhere to crash for the night and d) Driving back over super early for 8am work the next day…

Not so sure what I’m going to be doing about this one!

Ok, so today is the day that our newspaper article is hitting the shelves and we couldn’t be more stoked. Make sure to pick up a copy of City on a Hill newspaper and be on the lookout for CRUZDATE!!!

As soon as I get a copy for myself, I will scan it in and have it posted for everyone to see.

So check this out everyone, I’ve just been in contact with the good people over at SCTV (the local campus TV station) and they are going to let me run a little commercial / spoof thing on the air!!! How sweet is that?

There are a few issues associated with it, for instance, I don’t have any video camera gear or knowledge or commercial writing or anything.

Needless to say the commercial is going to be epic and you are not going to want to miss it! If you are on campus check out channel 28 RELIGIOUSLY for the next few months and you might be one of the lucky ones who sees yours truley on the big screen.

Hey guys, just wanted to give you all a heads up that an article in the “City on a Hill” newspaper include a CruzDate.com article. Yours truley was interviewed and gave the 411 on the site and all its benefits.
Keep an eye out for it as it will be hitting the shelves THURSDAY october 19th!

Hopefully the reporter doesn’t pull a Zoolander and totally mix around my words.
